We’re definitely at the point now where we are on the cusp of seeing the current crop of antibiotics completely powerless to stop any bacteria.
I think the next step - besides these neat micro explosions - is to eventually use nano devices to actually physically destroy the bacteria. You can’t build up a chemical resistance to being physically shredded and destroyed.
